It’s October and it’s Halloween season! The decorations are coming out and costumes are being created!
For the fourth year in a row, our local Moms Demand Action group will be participating in @officialfamilyhood’s Trunk-or-Treat event on Saturday October 26th (4-7 pm) at 4th and Jackson Sts.
One of the most important ways that our organization works to prevent gun violence is by supporting our local Hoboken Community (and educating families about secure firearm storage, changes in state and local gun laws, etc.)
We will be handing out packs of candy (of course with a gun safety message attached) reminding parents and caregivers to “Bee” SMART!
But…..we can’t participate in all this fun without YOUR help! We need donations of candy (or Venmo donations to purchase candy), volunteers to pack the packets, and some “busy bee” volunteers to help man the hive and hand out the candy on October 26th.
We know you’re busy, but we hope you’ll buy an extra bag of candy the next time you’re out shopping to give to Hoboken’s kids!
I love this Trick or Treat event — it’s Saturday afternoon so it’s perfect for little ones and or parents who get overwhelmed by the crowds on Halloween Day.
