The Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival is more than just a single-day celebration—it is a year-round movement that champions diversity, inclusivity, and LGBTQ+ visibility. As we honor August as Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Month, our festival serves as a powerful symbol of unity, equality, and the vibrant spirit of our community.
Celebrating 25 Years of Pride – Our Silver Jubilee
In 2025, we proudly present the 25th Annual Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival, marking our Silver Jubilee and celebrating 25 years of building and strengthening our community. This milestone event honors the rich history of Pride while rallying our community to speak up against abuse, stand firm against oppression, and stay strong and resilient. Last year’s Pride Month festivities welcomed an estimated 25,000 attendees, solidifying our position as one of the largest pride festivals in New Jersey.
Our Theme: Speak Up, Stand Firm, & Stay Strong
This year’s theme was inspired by a powerful presentation given by the Honorable Stacey Abrams at the 2025 United States Association of Pride conference in Atlanta, Georgia. In her speech, she encouraged us to “Speak Up, Stand Firm, & Stay Strong.” This statement encapsulates the spirit and resilience we aim to celebrate at our milestone event. We are honored to use this slogan as our theme with permission from Ms. Abrams. We believe these words will inspire and uplift our community as we continue advocating for equality, inclusion, and pride.
