The Concerts in the Park series begins with a family-fun night, on Tuesday, June 3, at the plaza at Seventh and Jackson Streets. Sponsored by the Puerto Rican Cultural Committee, the evening will feature a hands-on lesson led by renowned music educator Angel LaBoy. Residents and community members are invited to join in learning traditional Puerto Rican dance and music styles, including Bomba and Plena.
Live performances are scheduled for certain weekdays throughout the summer, including:
- Select Mondays at Shipyard Park from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays at Seventh & Jackson Street from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays at Church Square Park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Thursdays at Sinatra Park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
