Community: City of Hoboken announces Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival on Sept. 29

Dear Nixle User,

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken invite residents and visitors to the annual Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Washington Street, between Observer Highway and Seventh Street. This popular event is free and open to the public, celebrating the rich arts and music culture of Hoboken and the surrounding communities.

“We are thrilled to once again host the Fall Arts & Music Festival, a celebration of Hoboken’s diverse and talented community,” said Mayor Bhalla. “This event not only showcases the incredible local artists and musicians but also brings together residents and visitors for a day of fun, culture, and creativity.”

The Fall Arts & Music Festival will feature over 250 artists, crafters, food vendors, and local businesses, showcasing a wide variety of goods, from handmade crafts to delicious local cuisine.

The festival will also highlight a fantastic line-up of live musical performances on two stages along Washington Street:

Seventh Street Stage Line-Up (Washington Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street):

  • A variety of local kid performances, including the All Saints Bold Dancers
  • Allison Strong: Union City-born singer, songwriter, actor, and composer
  • Paper Anniversary: Brooklyn-based husband and wife band, known for their rollicking Bluegrass harmonies and clever lyrics
  • Ebony Hillbillies: One of the last Black/African-American string bands in America, keeping an almost forgotten American musical legacy alive

Observer Highway Stage Line-Up (Washington Street between Observer Highway and Newark Street):

  • Dallas Connors: Local Hoboken singer-songwriter
  • The Dracu-Las: A female led group inspired by surfy garage punk for the beach goth set
  • The Young Picassos: A modern take on the steel drum band, bringing a distinct Caribbean sound
  • Men of Soul: Local favorite cover band, breathing new life into classic soul and R&B from the 60s through the 90s.
  • Lulada Club: NYC’s all-woman salsa orchestra, known for their masterful renditions of the classics and their original tracks

The Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival is funded in part by a grant from the NJ Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism (www.visitnj.org) and is sponsored by Ironstate, Veolia, WFUV, and the Hudson County Division of Parks & Roads.

Wheelchair-accessible seating can be made available for each performance with a week’s prior notice. Please contact Hoboken Cultural Affairs at 201-420-2000 Ext. 5102 to make a request. Accessible restrooms will be located near the main stage on Observer Highway and on Washington Street at Third Street.
