Hoboken Public Education Foundation First Annual Back-to-School Community Run

The Hoboken Public Education Foundation (HPEF) is thrilled to host its inaugural Back-to-School Community Run on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Pier A.
The race is open to all community members and features races for everyone, from seasoned runners to those looking for a fun way to stay active. With over 600 participants expected, it’s set to be a morning filled with excitement and fun.

Event Highlights:
• Giveaways and Awards: Prizes for top finishers and exciting giveaways.
• Entertainment: Surprises from Hoboken’s school mascots, athletes, and musicians.
• Special Guests: District music teacher Mr. Panfile will open the event with the national anthem and announcements. Brian McMullin, a well-known Wallace Elementary parent and District employee, will serve as emcee. DJ Babz, the talented Ms. Babilonia from Brandt Elementary, will keep the energy high with great music.

Race Schedule:
• Kids Fun Run (recommended for ages 10 and under): 8:30 AM
• 1-Mile Walk/Run/Stroll: 9:00 AM
• 5K Race: 10:00 AM

The Kids Fun Run will take place on the pier itself, offering a picturesque beginning. The 1-Mile and 5K races will follow a scenic route along the waterfront, providing beautiful water views as participants make their way to the finish line.
